The neighborhood across the street is actually located in Seal Beach, just a little pocket of it north of the 405 Freeway. This was on the sidewalk; we have our own lemon tree but these were just so pretty, I took a couple anyway.

I don't know what this shrub is, but I've been seeing more and more of it in people's yards and I quite like it. Helps that purple is one of my favorite colors and I am partial to pea-like flowers. They're bigger in this picture than they actually are.
