A guy at work was trying to get a bunch of people to go in a group to an Angels game; I'm not much of sports fan, and

runsamuck is usually only interested if they're playing the Tigers (he's a Michigan transplant). However, the Freeway series was sufficiently interesting to him he thought it might be a good introduction of a baseball for the kids.

It was kind of fun, but it was really hot (luckily the sun had gone down, at least), and

runsamuck finally lost patience with repeated questions of "What's the score?" and "We can't have a hot dog?" (not when they're $7 apiece, and we're pretty much broke after the ticket puchase, no), so we left after the 6th inning. Actually they lasted longer than we expected.

I was a bit tickled to see the giant hats at the stadium entrance actually had hat sizes.

Btw, anyone else think the name "The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" is just really stupid?
