Heh. Groundhog Day is one of my favorite movies. I think I'll go buy a copy.
My MIL's birthday is day before Groundhog Day. It annoys her that that's how we remember it. John had the kids call and wish her Happy Day, and showed me the card he got her, depicting a group of people holding a seance, captioned "Attempting to contact your lost youth."
On this day in 2006, Punxsutawney Phil, Seer of Seers, Sage of Sages, Prognosticator of Prognosticators, and Weather Prophet Extraordinary emerged reluctantly, but alertly, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and stated in Groundhogese, "I definitely see a shadow." Happy Birthday Brent "Commander Data" Spiner (1949), Farrah Fawcett (1947), Tommy Smothers (1937) and James Joyce (1882). RIP Gene Kelly (d.1996), Sid Vicious (d.1979), and Boris Karloff (d.1969).
