Somehow, depspite numerous posts by some of you about it, previous to last week I was not aware that Prisoner of Askaban had come out in the theaters. I don't even remember seeing any advertising when it was. Anyhow, my dad picked up the DVD and I watched it over the weekend. By myself, as it turned out; John fell asleep. I was amazed at how well Buckbeak was animated; he actually looked like a real, living, breathing creature, with enough mannerisms of both horse and eagle to make him believable. And am I sick, sick person if I say Daniel Radcliffe is going to grow up to be a heartbreaker? Anyhow, I quite enjoyed it, but the ending seemed a little rushed.

And just when did Stephen King come out with three more Dark Tower books? The last one I remember was Wizard and Glass, but I noticed on the new books table at Barnes and Marmoset the other day, Book VII?! I went back up to fiction (this B&N must have rearranged, they used to have a seperate section for horror, but now he and Clive Barker are stuck in with the Fiction & Literature. The ~~Bodice Rippers~~ Romance novels used to be in that section, but now have their own, next to science fiction). And sure enough there were all three of the newer ones, which I had never heard of. I guess I don't keep a close enough eye on authors I like. I can take or leave most of his horror novels, but that series I really liked, along with the stories most people are shocked to find out Stephen King wrote when they're turned into movies, such as The Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, and The Green Mile.
