How can you say no to free ice cream?

It's free ice cream day at Baskin Robbins from 6-10 pm TONIGHT (April 30, 2003)!!!!! For every scoop of ice cream that Baskin Robbins gives away they will make a donation to First Book to provide new books for underprivileged children. Based on numerous studies, book "ownership" has consistently proven to be a catalyst in increasing literacy rates, especially among young readers.

Angus had vanilla, my dad had mint chip, and I got strawberry cheesecake (although I was tempted to get the April Flavor o' the Month - Tax Crunch). I totally forgot there was one nearer our house, so we stopped there and got a cup of Jamoca Almond Fudge for John.

Nice to be able to treat the kids (one of them, anyway) when I'm broke at the end of the month. And have it do some good, too.
