I think they're in your neck of the woods - the site has video of the artist talking about them in front of the Pike (Street? Place? Dun remember, it's been awhile) Market.
Willing to try, but I think it's the shoes themselves that are so dear. They're over $100 by themselves at Zappo's. I'd have to find something cheaper to experiment with - I haven't done much with paint...
