I'd been meaning to photograph these lion statues to enter at Waymarking.com, and after my daughter had a dental appointment we stopped to get a closer look at them. Westminster, the next town over from where we live, likes buildings with pseudo-Elizabathan design; emulating its namesake town in England, I suppose. This is one of at least four buildings within a two block section of Westminster Blvd. that has a pair of lions guarding the doors, although these have probably been there the longest - I remember them from when I was pretty young. Two of the other pairs of lions are Asian-style.

They've been here for quite awhile, and I was sad to notice someone has broken both of their tails off where they curved away from their bodies.

She always has to sit on them.
