I am going to see Tori Amos tonight with V. from work. I like her but I don't have any of her albums (see how old I am? using the word "album" instead of CD), so maybe I'm not as familiar with her as I should be. John is giving me a hard time about going to a "lesbian love fest" - but she's a good pianist. She's always reminded me of Kate Bush. So we'll see - I don't think i'll be disappointed.

Now I'll have to drag V. with me to see Niel Finn in January!

you will not be disappointed. why is it that men like to say the strong female artist are lesbians. he used to call Tori a lesbian-crotch-fest-lady because of the way she sometimes sat at the piano when she played. i would love to go to a Tori Amos concert. hope you have fun.

Don't you worry! "Album" is still appropriate. It's just a matter of whether the album is on a LP or CD.

That's what I always thought - an album being a collection of pieces no matter what the media. But still, I often get corrected by younger people (like John, a whole 11 ½ months younger, who always accuses me of being a fuddy-duddy :p).
