Someone at my local sushi place is very concerned about the improper use of sauces.

*Don't put too much Soy Sauce on Sushi and Don't put too much Sauce on any food! Too much sauce is unhealthy!

*When eating Nigiri Sushi, Dip The Sushi Fish First into the Soy Sauce and not the Rice!

I had to work, so I sent

runsamuck to Gareth's school for 49er Day with the camera. He had previously cleaned the rust off a bucket's worth of used horseshoes (harder than it sounds), and helped them assemble the troughs where the kids were "panning for gold" - one of the legs was cracked and some of the other parents were going to just ducttape it together - something holding a couple hundred pounds worth of sand and water! Anyway...

(Unfortunately, I forgot to change the white balance to auto for him and it was set to "Fluorescent light;" all of these outdoor pictures came out with a blue cast, which I couldn't entirely get rid of in Picnik.)

On the same day, Angus's class had a "Walk Through the American Revolution" thingie, which was not quite as involved, but there was some notice of optional costumes. He had a few lines as King George, but we didn't really have anything suitable. Apparently, no one else did either - everyone just seemed to be wearing paper hats. Oh, and btw, we weren't clear on what day this was occuring, and Angus had left his little card with his lines in the car...which I had at work. I had to rush back down to his school and deliver them to him....Aaaaggh!
