Heh, just talking to my boss (a major birder) in La Jolla on the phone, and he told me he's having major problems focusing on work stuff because there is a family of peregrines that keep swooping by his window - parents and a begging fledgling. He's been trying to get some pictures of them, but they haven't turned out well because it's been foggy down there lately. There are also some pigeon guillemots reported hanging around that he's hoping will show up.

I think I've said before that if I had the view out his window, I'd never get anything done.

You'd need a telescope to see anything. And you might see something you don't want to. ;p
