Slight break from fake trees...

senoritafishFinally got up to go make coffee and toast. I must be tired because I counted way past the normal 6 scoops to put in the coffee maker...."7, 8, 9..." I had to dump it out and start over.
And I get to test drive the new toaster. Dad brought one home last night. The old one was could not only not be trusted to toast bread the same way consistently on the same setting (one would come out burned and the next not toasted at all), but Avalon was helping me me with dinner last night, pulled the knob of it, and dropped it so it bounced across the counter and under the stove burner where I was cooking Hamburger Helper, where it caught fire and melted.
Time for a new toaster. Although I was going to hold out for one of those cool ones from Williams-Sonoma, like my friends have. Well, when this one craps out, I guess.
Avalon just got up and climbed in my lap so typing is going to become progressively more difficult, I can tell.
