Update: Well, they did a strep test (but I don't have a sore throat) and the Dr. said everything seems to be normal at first glance, but ordered a Upper GI xray, which I have to make a seperate appointment for. We walked over to the imaging center at the hospital, but they told us we had to call to make the appointment. So, went home and phoned, sat on hold for 20 minutes, and when it finally picked up, it said "You have reached the imaging center, sorry we are closed, goodbye..." click. Dammit.

It could a bunch of different things, from a hiatal hernia to something called Schatzki's ring, to just nerves. I'm ok - thanks for all your comments of concern. I guess we have still to see.

On the way home, I was two cars behind someone who sat through an entire signal. I was thinking he had car trouble, but when I pulled around him, I saw he was dead asleep, chin right down on chest. The guy who pulled up on the other side yelled at him, and he woke up with a jump. When the light changed again, I sped up to get as far ahead of him as I could, in case he was drunk or something, then I noticed he pulled up right behind me. Great. So I'm keeping an eye on him in my rear-view mirror, and then I see police lights go off behind him. He got pulled over.
