- on the back of a Southwest Airlines packet of peanuts -
"Produced in a facility that processes peanuts and other nuts."

Hmm, ya think?

-A recent issue of Style magazine weighs about 5 lbs., has about 600 pages, which apparently about 200 of which are actual articles. (I seldom read this type of magazine so I was just curious)

- a glass of Fetzer Merlot (~4 oz.) costs $8.79 at the San Francisco Airport.

- Removing your earrings, barrettes and changes from your pockets before going through the airport metal detector will guarantee that you will be the random passenger searched before your flight (4x on a round trip between OC and Sacramento). Spread 'em and take off your shoes, please!

- On the shuttle between the car rental and the terminal, there was a doppleganger of my colleague D. in La Jolla - except he was a foot taller and more neatly groomed.

Please go sign this petition! My kids are wearing out my tapes from when the series was first on!

Received from New England Comics:
Many of you have written to us requesting that The Tick cartoon show be placed on DVD. Now as some of you may not know NEC does not own the rights to The Tick cartoon show. Which prevents us from bringing you your favorite blue hero to glorious home viewing. That privilege now rests in the hands of Walt Disney Inc. Yes, Walt Disney now owns the rights to The Tick cartoon show.
What does this mean? Not much right now. There have been no indications that Disney is even aware they own the character and show. But there is a way for your voice to heard! If you go to http://www.petitiononline.com/dvdtick/petition.html
you can place your name on an online petition to get The Tick on DVD. Tick fan Ken Lowery has created this page and he intends to forward it on to show just how much support there is for the Tick amongst the fan base. Who knows, with enough phone calls, e-mails, petitions, and bamboo under the finger nails Disney just might move its gigantic butt and do something about this 'problem' for Tick fans. Let your voice be heard. You have nothing to loose but your cookies!
