May. 8th, 2004 05:59 pmI noticed that the spin cycle on the washing machine was not doing anything after I'd done two loads of clothes, and we were having to put clothes in the dryer sopping wet. After first denying it for a couple of days, my dad looked the manual, realized it was dated 1984, and decided it was time for a new one. He bought a washer and a dryer, figuring I guess, that the dryer was due to crap out soon too.
He got the exact same brand. The only thing that bothers me is the on the old one you set the water temperature with buttons. On this one, it's all on the dial. Hot water for 16 minutes, warm for 10, cold for 8. I'm not sure if I like that. It's also bright blinding white. The old one were almond, sort of off-white. not so hard on the eyes. Sort of wish we had some input. Oh well.
A fridge is next on the list.
Now we just need laundry soap. He put it on his shopping list - spelled "lunrder."
