Jul. 28th, 2003 02:04 pmWhen giving the kids a bath the other night, I noticed Avalon had a circular mark on her shoulder. The skin wasn't broken, but was red and a little scraped-looking, and looked suspiciously like a bite from another small child. I had my ideas about who it was, but decided I couldn't prove anything, so I gave all three of them a stern lecture that biting each other is not allowed and let it go.
While I was sitting typing at work, it suddenly occurred to me that I could have determined for sure who the culprit was; Angus is missing a front tooth, and the mark showed all of them. Feeling very proud of my mental detective work, I called home to tell John what I had deduced. He said, "Oh yeah, I already figured that out and told Gareth he'd better not bite his sister anymore, or he's in big trouble."
So much for my career as a private investigator.
