Nemo update....

senoritafishV. and I were wondering what the hell Pearl and her father, the little squidlike critters at Nemo's school, was supposed to be. I knew I had seen a picture of a deepwater cephalopod that looked similar. Thanks to W., the mystery is solved. Here's what she sent us:

I think my favorite quote from the movie so far is Pearl saying, "Aaww, you made me ink!"
In case anyone is interested, I bought a stuffed beanie, Pearl, on Saturday. She was the octopus looking thing that was one of Nemo's school mates. Turns out the tag said she is a flapjack octopus, also known as a flapjack devilfish.
Couldn't find many pictures of a real one, but this was a page I came across. Doesn't really look much like the one in the movie.
