Avalon came in the room while I was watching it last Saturday, put her hand on screen and patted the image of Ed when he appeared.

"I like that little guy," she told me (my underline added). "I want him. He little!"

Nah, not a crush - she thinks he's a toy. Wouldn't Ed be thrilled?

(For non-fans, the hero of the story, Edward Elric, is rather short and has a tantrum every time someone mentions it.)

Btw, I purchased some a few things from Right Stuf a month or two ago, and got a postcard advertising the sale of this series. On both sides of the card, it features a portrait of Ed either ripping his red coat off (to shreds), or flailing it around his shirtless body. What's the deal? Now, I've only seen what's been aired on CN so far, but I don't think he's drawn quite so ripped in the series; he spends most of his time zipped up to the neck. I suppose this is a way to make the fangirls squee and rush out to purchase the DVDs, but it makes me feel slightly like a dirty old lady. Ed's only supposed to be about 16, isn't he?

Oh yeah, that's right, I liked this show for it's...erm...intellectual qualities. Ahem.
