So, here's a fanartist who's caught my eye a couple of times recently, both on Tumblr.com and DeviantArt.com.
First of all, here's some promo art from the upcoming Avengers movie. Note Black Widow's stance in comparison to all the guys...
And now Kevin Bolk's rather pointed parody...
Strong Male Characters, hmmm?
Here's the same twist on a video game character, Master Chief from the Halo games.

"@($&@&* - How do chicks DO this all the time?"
Truth is, Chief, most of us can't; not unless you're extremely, extremely limber. I used to belong to a comics posting community, wherein one prominent tag was "boobs(spines/butts/other various body parts) don't work that way." Art under that tag was always either hilarious or at least eye-roll inducing - usually for artistic mistakes or weird anatomy, usually by male artists.
Artist's commentary: Anyway, if one armored video game character has to get down to their skivvies, it's only fair the rest of 'em do it. Down with double standards!
::And wow, looking over the comments. It's funny how people think nothing of seeing women sexualized in this manner, but if it's a dude..HOLY CRAP!!!!::
Apparently, a lot of comments were along the lines of "MY EYES - WHERE IS THE BRAIN BLEACH - CANNOT UNSEE!" *rolls eyes*

Also somewhat related - my son doesn't play Halo, but likes to watch videos of it sometimes. I was looking for stocking stuffers before Christmas and came across a bunch of action figures for the game. One of them was female, which I knew existed in the game, and was glad to see that at least a figure had been made for that character. But why in hell was her armor PINK?! Honestly, why is that necessary?
